From Aethon Group to Mission Ae: tech-driven impact

Labor market challenges require structural solutions. Where workforce shortages rise and processes become more complex, Mission Ae creates movement. By leveraging data, AI, and platform technology, we make labor more accessible, efficient, and future-proof. What started as a student chauffeur service under Aethon has grown into a data-driven ecosystem that seamlessly connects talent and work.

Since 2025, Aethon Group is known as Mission Ae. A new name that reflects the scale, impact, and innovation that drive us.

Beyond staffing: an ecosystem for talent and work

The foundation was laid in 2005 with the launch of Aethon. In 2009, the strategic focus shifted toward the social sector and healthcare transportation. This marked the transition to workforce mediation, actively recruiting and training talent to bridge staff shortages in essential industries. Students and young professionals were not only placed in jobs but also trained for the future.

Growth and acceleration: from staffing to training and secondment

Our impact expanded. Aethon won the FD Gazelle Award eight times and was named Staffing Entrepreneur of the Year in 2015. The shift from staffing to long-term HR solutions accelerated with the acquisition of Samen Professionals in 2017, solidifying our role in secondment. That same year, Mentha Capital’s investment further fueled our growth and innovation.

Solving workforce challenges through targeted training and deployment

The healthcare sector didn’t just need more workers—it needed well-trained professionals. In 2021, SVOZ became part of Mission Ae, enabling faster, practice-based training and direct workforce deployment. The combination of recruitment, training, staffing, and secondment proved to be a powerful formula for easing the pressure on healthcare while developing new talent.

The launch of Aelio and Aems in 2023 transformed the way work and talent connect. No longer just staffing and secondment, but a total workforce solution integrating scheduling and vendor management. Compliance has always been a core value, and with these innovations, external hiring has become even more transparent and efficient. Every brand within Mission Ae plays a role in solving workforce shortages and securing the future of essential industries.
